What an AWESOME day!!

Today was absolutely WONDERFUL. We spent the entire day visiting with my friend and her adorable son. Later in the afternoon we did the maternity photo shoot and had a BLAST. :) My friend is so talented and fun. We feel like dorks trying for natural pics but she was incredible.

We had planned on trying the Cheesecake Factory for dinner but by the time MrG and I got back into the hotel room we ended up watching a movie on HBO and changing into our PJs instead. We ordered room service and enjoyed the rest of the evening in our room.

Sleeping in a little in the morning and driving back home after another delicious breakfast at the hotel.

I'm just so happy and so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and amazing friend. :) I needed this weekend for sure. Now I'm ready to enjoy the rest of my fall break! Absolutely perfect.

I'm having a baby NEXT MONTH!

Today I can say "I'm having a baby next month" Holy. Cow. 34 weeks today. A month and a half-ish to go and I still don't believe it.

Yesterday was one of those days that makes you laugh when you look back on it.

It started out wild when it was "Hat Day" at school for homecoming. Homecoming week is wild anyway - when you have to be at school supervising kids before the sun comes up it makes it a little bit worse. On top of homecoming spirit week, they brought the drug dogs in to sniff the kids' lockers. Luckily I had 6th graders at the time and they had no idea what was going on in the hallway.

I had a doctor appointment and tons of errands to run after school. Everything looked great. I know I'm pregnant but stepping on that scale made me cringe a little this time. I hate the number game.

Everything else looked good. My blood pressure was GREAT (hallelujah!) and BabyG's heartbeat was 136-ish. I was measuring right on track but the midwife said at my next appointment she might have me go for a growth ultrasound depending on how I measured that day.

By the time I was finished going all over creation after the doctor I was wiped out. I told MrG he was in charge of dinner so he made chicken nuggets & french fries (his apparent specialty?). Whatever. I was too tired to care and my ankles were somewhere between the size of golf balls and baseballs.

We packed and cleaned up a little for our trip. MrG went to feed the dogs and then we had a conversation that went something like this:

MrG: "Bring me a flip flop. QUICK"
Me: "Uh... ok?" ::looks around for one::
MrG: "RIGHT THERE!"

So I grab his flip flop and kinda toss it to him because at this point I figure he has found a spider.

MrG ::WHACK::

::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::whack::

Me: What the crap are you doing?!?!
MrG: IT HAD BABIES ON IT!!!

If I hadn't been on the other side of the room I would've freaked so I just sat there watching him with my eyes bugging (ha) out of my head. Awesome. Glad he found it (them?) and not me!

Happy Friday. Today is worse than yesterday (so far). Crazy hair day the last day before fall break wasn't the best idea. Why didn't the do something more calm like "Wear matching shoes day" or "Keep your shirt tucked in like you're supposed to day"?

6 hours till freedom. I can make it.
