29 weeks

I keep promising belly pictures but by the time I get home in the afternoon my shoes come off, my school clothes come off and I throw on my comfy jammies and lounge around the house. I will do my best to get one taken and posted this weekend when I look cute when MrG is home with me :)

BabyG is getting very strong these days. All morning long I feel like I've been getting one roundhouse kick after another to the cervix/bladder/pooper area. It's not time yet, little one. Chill out in there. I haven't been kicked in the ribs yet but I'm starting to debate on what would be worse - feeling like the bottom's about to drop out/I'm going to pee myself or getting knocked in the ribs. I'll let you know when s/he decides to test the rib action.

I have had a great pregnancy this far. I'm totally shocked that (knock on wood) my belly button is still in tact, I don't have stretch marks (I was SURE those would come early and be horrid - benefit of being a fat girl I guess?), I don't have the linea nigra and haven't had hemorrhoids either! I feel really good with the exception of some rough pelvic pain especially at the end of the day. I couldn't ask for anything more.

At my doctor's appointment on Monday they told me my blood pressure was up again for the second appointment in a row. I keep trying to tell them that I'm 99% sure my BP is up because I'm coming to them straight from school. Teaching 6th-8th grade isn't exactly a cakewalk kind of job! I'm on my feet all day, I'm getting bigger and they're stressful little boogers so it's no wonder my BP is high lately.

They are being extra cautious and testing me for preeclampsia. Sunday I get the joy of collecting ALL of my pee for 24 hours so they can test it for proteins. Freaking. Awesome. I can't wait. I've got my little red jug with my name written on it in permanent marker and I've already told MrG that Sunday we aren't doing ANYTHING but sitting around the house and waiting for me to pee. It's going to be SO fun. I have to keep it refrigerated too so I'll have to bring it in a cooler to school on Monday to take with me to my appointment that afternoon. Good times.

I will update this weekend with a picture - FOR REAL this time!! :)

Happy Friday!!

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling good about your pregnancy so far. I didn't think I had linea nigra either...it wasn't visible until after I had my son and the skin wasn't so stretched. You're looking great, and you're on the home stretch now!!! All the best to you.
