I'm a wife, a daughter, a sister, and I'm working towards being a mom. I love children and the joy and excitement that they bring.
My husband and I have been trying to start a family since September 2007 and it has been an emotionally rocky road. We're praying everyday that God gives us understanding and patience to rest in the fact that His timing is more perfect than we can ever imagine.
On his way to TWO!
And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain And if that's what it takes to praise you Jesus, bring the rain

August 21, 2009 - Ultrasound = 1 follie on the right. A few more days for smaller ones to grow!
It's finally time to kiss this year goodbye. I think I'll smack it on the rear to get it to scoot a little faster. This year could have been worse but it certainly could have been MUCH better. I'm hoping for the better in 2010.
After reading the entry a friend wrote about IF and surviving another year anything I write would be pale in comparison. She wrote more beautifully than I could ever attempt to so I'll just leave it like this.
I couldn't pass it up. That's the ringtone I got for my phone last night. No one's called me yet so I'm kinda bummed that I haven't heard it in action but I'll be super excited when I do! :)
So... I made hot chocolate last night. I mean I MADE it! And it was FABULOUS!
Mad props to husband #2 who made the peppermint marshmallows from scratch. It was just one glorious mug of homemade goodness!! :)
Perfect Hot Cocoa (from Food Network Magazine)
Bring 4 cups whole or low-fat milk to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat.
Mix 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder and 3-4 oz (I used 4, of course) finely chopped bittersweet chocolate in a bowl. (**I didn't have LF or whole milk so I used 2c. skim milk and 2c. Half & Half - turned out fine**)
Wisk mixture into the milk.
Reduce heat to low and simmer stirring until the chocolate melts and the cocoa is thick (about 2 minutes - I did it longer)
